The structure is made out of ice and snow with ceilings as high as 5.4 metres (18 feet), walls covered with original artwork and furniture carved from ice blocks. Ice Hotel Quebec-Canada has 36 rooms and theme suites, a magnificent chapel, functional fireplaces, three hot tubs and one sauna, a 60 foot slide, the famous N'Ice Club and a Ice Café lounge. Covering a total surface of 3,000 square meters (30,000 square feet), the Ice Hotel is one of the most unique undertakings. In fact, 15,000 tons of snow and 500 tons of ice will be used during the five weeks it takes to make this architectural marvel. |
